WELCOME BACK… WE HOPE EVERYONE HAD A VERY HAPPY AND RELAXING HOLIDAY!

Important Dates to Remember

1. Regular classes will be held on Family Day, which is Monday, February 15th.

2. Costumes have been ordered. They are expected to arrive before the first competition in March. Costumes will not be handed out until all fees are paid and up-to-date.

3. All of the Competition and Costume Fees were due before November 15th. Anyone that has not paid, and has not made arrangements with the office, is required to pay immediately. Failure to do so may result in being pulled out of the Festivals.

4. Stars of Hope is being held at the Jubilee Auditorium on Saturday March 6, 2010. There is a sign up sheet for any students that are interested in being apart of the show. (more info below)

New Classes for the New Year

1. Couples Dance – Friday Jan. 29th though to March 5th we will be holding our Friday night couples dance. Beginners start at 7:00pm-8:00pm and Advanced are 8:00pm-9:00pm. It is a 6-week course focusing on Jive, Two-Step, and the Waltz for only $99/couple.

2. Intro to Dance – for our ages 3-5 who want to learn a little ballet, jazz, and rhythm. A 6-week, non-parented, course starting on Jan. 23rd from 9:00am-9: 45am for only $65.00

3. Parent and Tots – a 6-week course for both the parent and the little dancer aged 1½-3. It is a fun way to teach kids early on how to interact with others. Classes begin on Monday Jan. 25th at 10:00am –10:45am for $50.00

Congratulations to John Morin, who recently travelled out to Toronto to audition for the Tap Dogs. We are eagerly awaiting the results.

STARS OF HOPE:
is a fundraiser to help the “Kids with Cancer Society”. This show brings studios together to perform in a non-competitive environment for a worthwhile cause. Any students that may be interested in participating in Stars of Hope can sign up on the sign up sheet located on the lobby wall, next to the office. The performance that we will be doing is a combination of tap, hip-hop, and break dance. Rehearsals will be held at the Studio on Sundays– exact date and times to be announced. Dancefusion will be purchasing around 100 tickets for anyone that would like to see the show. We will sell them on a first come, first serve basis for only $20.00. Tickets are also available through Ticketmaster.
Families can purchase an ad to congratulate a dancer, or families who have been affected by cancer can purchase an ad in memory or in honour. Please see the office for more info if you are interested in purchasing an ad.
